The Dri-Eaz DefendAir HEPA 500 employs a powerful 500 CFM motor to draw air through two filters – a pre-filter and a HEPA filter. The initial filtration stage captures larger particles, while the subsequent stage captures minute particles as small as 0.3 microns. Unique to this unit is its Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) capability, a rating by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) that gauges the efficiency of the machine and filter collaboration in eliminating airborne particles at the chosen airflow rate.
Designed for mold remediation and water damage restoration, the DefendAir HEPA 500 integrates advanced clean air performance. With a HEPA filter boasting a 99.97% efficiency against 0.3-micron oily aerosol particles, it delivers airflow levels ranging from 250 to 500 CFM, aligning with typical restoration job requirements. Note that the unit is not intended for asbestos remediation.
